The magic absorbing thing is neat and legit, however such a concept has been used before like gathering energy for Majin Buu. I don't know what's going on, but I don't like it. It reminds me of how helpless things were in Edolas, actually the whole knights thing reminds me of Edolas, one messed up kingdom lol. Fairy Tail would probably make an enemy out of all of Fiore to get Lucy back. lol.

The King is okay with the Eclipse plan but the Head of Defense isn't, and he is getting his way craftily. I think the King is easily manipulated by his subjects, and from that things will probably be messed up even more later.

With the mention of the time travelling thing confirms that the mystery woman is from the future, and most possibly a Celistial Mage (aka. Future Lucy) who will come and warn Fairy Tail about the killer androids that will appear in 3 days.

I'm unsure about the concept of time travel being introduced as it's something that can easily get messed up and Mashima can be pretty hit and miss. It is a cool way to explain why Freed's barrier thought Natsu and Gajeel were over 80 in the Fighting Festival Arc. Wonder who else will go back in time? It won't be Lucy, Gray or Erza I don't think because they all passed through the barrier, as did Laxus. I'm guessing most likely is Natsu, Gajeel, Sting, Rogue and maybe someone like Jellal. Then again, there could be another reason for the age thing so the main cast might all go back.

I'm looking forward to the fight on the final day now. Laxus vs Jura or Orga will be awesome as will Gray vs Rufus (I believe in you Gray! Even if the rest of the fandom thinks you're fodder). This could actually be the last arc coming up, which would be a shame because I wanted them to get out of Fiore and fight mages from other countries.

The initial conclusion I had was that their Dragon Slayer magic (aging them) made them unable to pass through Freed’s barrier. Your idea seems plausible and would be interesting to see though, and it does make sense they’d send Dragon Slayers back in time to defeat Zeref and Acnologia before they became powerful, As much as I like the mains, it’ll be refreshing to see a new team formed and an all Dragon Slayer team would be so badass.

Sting and Rogue might not be affiliated with Sabretooth anymore after what their master did which was completely messed up unexpected, Frieza killing Krillin style lol. I just reread and Jiemma got shot right through his back but the granddaughter Minerva had a ‘good, just as planned’ face, what’s up with that and where does that leave Saborbooth? I still do wish their powers were a lot closer to Natsu/Gajeel’s given their two power ups, they were too easily beaten given all the hype from before (and Natsu didn’t even use his lightning or Gajeel use his iron scales). Then again, despite the time skip, they still seem to be too inexperienced/young in comparison to Natsu/Gajeel.

And I agree wholeheartedly about Gray, dunno what Mashima is doing but he’s got to stop treating Gray like fodder and not give the fans a reason to do the same, he’s supposed to be Natsu’s rival from the beginning and should be on par with him. We haven’t seen him properly fight yet, so he better kick some ***** this time round with some new magic! We only got like one new spell from him so far, maybe he could freeze Rufus’ memories lol. But yes, the final showdown should be epic, they already set things up tension wise with who wants to fight who, can’t wait! Orga randomly singing would be awesome, lmao

It seems that the civil war between the dragons 400 years ago caused Zeref and Acnologia to become who they are, so the time travelling makes a lot more sense now. Maybe it was up to Natsu to kill him in the past, which might explain Zeref recognising him. But yeah, time travelling is a tricky thing unless it is done in a DBZ approach. I think I read that Mashima’s previous work ‘Rave Master’ had time travel in there as well, which is something I intend to read when I have time, just for some subtle hints to the future plot when I have nothing better to do haha.

I really hope this isn’t the last arc (even though it seems like Zeref is the final boss), there still many loose ends to be tied up, though it might probably be done by the time the arc is finished. Lucy’s mom, disappearance of the dragons, Tartaros, and wtf happened in the future where Levy is writing from. But the recurring date of 777 and the significance of the eclipse, where/what the ‘Zeref like presence’ is. There’s got to be a lot more to the magic world than just Fiore, if there’s so many Dark Guilds around, there’s got to at least be a few more light/legal guilds out there as well.

I thought they might do something like that, smart thing to do really. Have one team look to "lawfully" save Lucy and another attempt a break in. There's a bit of disparity for the second team though, where's Jellal? They really could have used him. Still, hopefully Mirajane will do something badass and I'm really looking forward to seeing Juvia in action after she got trolled in the waterdome.

Hyped for next week, really want to see these fights. Hopefully either Kagura or Erza beat Minerva, she needs nakama punched right about now.

YES, different teams, man I like this already! The usual group has been split, and Gajeel, Gray and Juvia have a chance to redeem themselves after being trolled bad in previous chapters. This showdown will be great, so my theory was wrong about String/Rogue, but hey this means Gajeel has a shot at both of them xD. And yes, Minerva needs to be ***** slapped, hopefully by Erza or Juvia.

Now we can see some Mira action, and hopefully another version of the Satan Soul!

Lol, this is reminding me of the Laxus Arc now, groups fighting each other in a big town. Really cool though, this is what I wanted for the last day. Jura and Kagura are beasts! Lol @ Minerva teleporting her guild members away from them, they're clearly running scared. It is embarrassing watching Bacchus now, he was awesome upon introduction when he was hyped to be Erza level and now he's just *****, that's the second time in a row he's got oneshotted. Wonder what Fairy Tail's plan was? Like, why did they have to stand around for a while before attacking? What's the point in that? Lol.

Anyone else sick of Mavis? I wish she'd just go away, Hiro is turning her in to a complete Mary Sue the way he's going. First she was just a spirit that was attached to Tenrou which was fair enough and it wasn't too bad that she was able to use the others magic to activate Fairy Sphere. However, now she can go where she wants, is some master tactician apparently, knows really ancient magic, is an immortal spirit etc. Plus, the more she features the more we see of the Loli fandom which is awful. We had enough of that with Wendy.

Pretty standard method of sneaking in to a castle, no marks for originality. Wonder what's up with that Princess though? Is she friend or foe? Going to be interesting either way, look forward to that.

Aw, I was hoping for like ‘all the mages in a ring battle royal’ where things can get like super chaotic but oh well. Yes, exactly. the Battle of Fairy Tail with some twists lol. With that kind of set up, it means some decent match ups later once everything gets into gear. As for those getting defeated, it seems they were just done so they’d be out of the way like typical fodder. Hopefully those stare down matchups will happen, since it looks like people splitting up fit quite nicely to set them up.
- I don’t know why the Blue Pegasus Trio wants to fight Gajeel, but I don’t mind him beating the crap out of Sting and Rogue either.
- Gray needs to hurry up and beat Rufus to prove his make is best, he needs some redeeming action.
- Bacchus was meh, he’s just there to like make everyone seem stronger, ‘Quadro Puppy’ is fitting seeing how they’re fodder to the end lolol.
- Man Sabretooth lost their awesome streak now, with them being cowards like that with the teleporting (master wouldn’t be happy), even worse.
- I hope Erza fights Kagura so we get more of a backstory due to their relations to Jellal

Yes the standing around was stupid, I thought the strategy was to let the other guilds get rid of the small fry so they can conserve their energy, but Mavis has been relaying a super awesome plan to them? That’s too much and sounds like cheatings, it’s probably as hax as memory make but at least Rufus is actually part of the team participating. I’d prefer Mavis didn’t help, you know in a way she’s cheating as much as Raven Tail did with the outside help lol, but then again FT was never fair when it came to their nakama, in this case ensuring they win and get Lucy back. I’m not overly annoyed with Mavis though I’d prefer she’d be nothing more than comic relief and give us some more backstory.

As for the sneak in yeah, nothing original and some attempted comedy in there that wasn’t that funny. Oh god damn, a princess with her own agenda, man this could really mess things up, the King sounds really dumb/easily manipulated now lol. There’s like so many things Hiro could focus on right now though, he has already started a lot of speculation about a lot of things, seriously Hiro’s like chucking a Kubo with forgetting about the mystery woman, wtf man?
